MY HOUSE: before and kinda after.

You know we've been working like crazy on the house since we moved in a month and a half ago and I'm finally feeling like its liveable.

I was hesitant about showing the pictures before its completed because I've always thought I had to have at room done before the post. But this post by Jenny reminded me of the truth that in blogging we can share not just the result but the progress. That's what makes blogging different.
So my goal in this house renovation is to let you into my head more, share why I'm doing what and not being afraid of progress pictures. What do you think? Are you ok with progress, not the finalized product?

Here's the before: taken the day we moved in:
Our dining room goes into our living room which has a sweet little fireplace, but it was in such bad shape with the plaster crumbling off the walls and the popcorn ceiling. That light fixture came down first day, for reals.
So we taped off the front two rooms completely from the rest of the house and got to work. We put up new drywall over all the old plaster and ceiling, sanded, primed and painted every surface.
So here is where we are now, no rugs (not until little miss puppy is potty trained) no drapes or artwork but fresh.
I knew I wanted all white walls, white with warmth but not grey. Color without color if that makes sense. Nan, my boss, is the most talented person I've ever met with paint. Everything she picks hits the nail on the head, so needless to say, she picks every color in my house. My favorite part is we painted the walls and ceiling in high gloss. Its GORGEOUS. New massive crown molding and trim around the windows still needs to be installed but I'm SO happy with the results.
