Bedroom Reveal and Little Green Notebook

I've been hiding something up my sleeve...

My bedroom is done and pinch me... Jenny from Little Green Notebook featured it on her blog. Check it out here.
Remember when I posted here in April about it being in the works? Well I've been a busy little bee since then.
I have always feel like my master bedroom is the last room to get any love. I always end up just throwing whatever mismatched leftovers I have in it and call it a day.
This is the before... to give you some perspective. Yikes right?
Well this makeover from House Beautiful by Amanda Nesbit changed all that. I loved the headboard, the lamps, everything. I loved how sophisticated and clean the room was while still being cozy. I wanted to jump right in that bed with that fabulous ikat headboard.

I loved the shape of the House Beautiful headboard so we decided to DIY one with a similar but more simple shape. My awesome father in law cut the headboard out of some plywood he had lying around and the hubs and I got out the staple gun.
The fabric was a discount fabric store score and I've never been able to find it again. And yes, we hammered in each nailhead by hand. It took a while.

The gold panels on the wall are Julian Chichester that I scored at market. The side tables were gifted and the linens are ikea and target. I added some $4 a yard pom pom trim to Ikea drapes and I adore them.
I'm so excited to finally be able to share what I've been working on, its been hard keeping it up my sleeve! Be sure to email me if you have any questions about it.
Thanks again to Jenny for featuring my little room, I'm beyond thrilled with how it turned out:-)
